Holy Cow

This piece was originally produced for a new shopping complex in Oldham. The sculptural maquette was produced as a working design idea and my thinking behind it was that new shopping centres always have abstract designs in them. So I thought that an imposing realist sculpture would create something new and refreshing for a change. It lost out though to an abstract sculpture (no surprise there then!) The up side to the story is that the maquette itself has become one of my most successful sculptures in terms of sales.
